Assembly
In Week 7, it was K-Darling’s turn to run, and perform at the whole school assembly.
Congratulations especially to our 5 brave speakers, and thanks to our Stage 3 buddies who helped. I am very proud of everyone for getting up on stage for the first time! Kindergarten (both classes!) even won the assembly shield for best behaviour.
ANZAC Day Assembly
Dhanni played a special song on the trumpet. The song was sad because people died a long time ago when the soldiers had to fight in a war.
Each class put some flowers out. The flowers were in a circle called a wreath. We sang the Australia song (the National Anthem) because the soldiers were fighting to keep Australia safe.
ANZAC day will be in about 2 weeks. On ANZAC day, everyone remembers the people who died making Australia safe. We also remember the nurses who tried to help the soldiers.
It is a sad time but very important.
Our Assembly Item
This week, K-Henri performed their assembly item. It was called Hoedown Throwdown (but we call it Boom Boom Clap). We practiced the dance for a long time. We also made a picture together by our class artist, Henri Rousseau. Mrs Klose felt very proud, especially of the brave people who talked on the microphone!
K-2 Assembly
Last week was the first Kindergarten, year 1 and year 2 assembly for the year. It was very exciting for Kindergarten to be a part of! At this assembly, the best behaved class is awarded with Barney the Dinosaur to look after for a fortnight, and K-Henri were rewarded for their great manners with this prize! Well done!
Our Assembly
In Week 6, our class ran the first performance assembly at BSPS! We practiced hard and learned a fun poem called “Homework” about some of the excuses kids use for not doing their homework. If you missed us, here’s a video with some of the best parts of our assembly.
